Miracles witnessed by Jody Derrick
I was born in Siloam Springs, Arkansas and have always lived near this latitude as I passed East and West from each side of Oklahoma. I was named after a not-so-savery set of military songs. My Mom left my blood father about 1970. We went to say with an Uncle and got established in Enid. My Mom met my Dad downtown Enid at the Bamboo Club, they have good memories of this. God proceded to bless me, my brother and later my new sister. We moved to Alva for awhile, it was a neat place to go to kindergarten. I won a 1st place trophy in a sackrace and I made it into the newspaper. I was probably missing some teeth at that point. I discovered that I was legally blind in my left eye. I visited the speech therapist regularly because I stutered severly. This is a heavy burden to any child.
